Overlapping Coverage - Zone Defense

This adds greater flexibility by allowing kitchen appliances to be reconfigured without having to move the system discharge nozzles. Due to the adaptability of the system, it is the most cost-effective choice over the life of the system and future-proofs the cook line underneath the hood.  This type of configuration saves time and money if installed in the hood manufacturers factory, reducing time required on site.

Restaurant Fire Suppression Systems: Features

AMEREX KP STRIKE (ECS) ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEM

Fighting fires with KP STRIKE

Fires in the cooking appliance can be fought in several ways. The system features a manual pull switch and automatic detection.

Either method of actuation will cut electrical power to the appliances preceding
system discharge. The firefighting agent suppresses cooking grease fires through both saponification and cooling and it does not corrode stainless steel, protecting the equipment.

System Benefits

Amerex KP with STRIKE uses plug and play electronics developed for mining, transit and military use where the ability to function reliably in all conditions is paramount.

Amerex KP with STRIKE replaces key components of conventional systems such as stainless steel cable, corner pulleys and fusible links which can be compromised by grease and dirt build-up, or can suffer from physical damage during cleaning, transportation or in use.

Critically, the Amerex solution is able to detect and report faults.  Simultaneously , the system actuates and an event will be recorded detailing the exact time it took place and how the system was activated. By recording and logging these events, STRIKE provides visibility to details that traditional systems cannot.

The system can be tied into auxiliary controls, such as building alarm systems. Which is part of the Smart Kitchen Monitoring system (SKM) solution.

Control Panel

The AMEREX KP strike Electronic Control System (ECS) is battery powered and can monitor and release KP systems on two separate hoods.
No need for extra control systems saving money and the time it takes to ensure both hoods are monitored.

Electronic Thermal Spot Detection

The Strike Electronic Control System utilizes two separate detection circuits and two separate actuation circuits, enabling it to control two complete fire Systems. These systems can be actuated simultaneously or separately, depending on your customers’ needs. These two detection circuits utilize linear heat detectors that can cover the entire plenum or spot heat detectors for higher temperature appliances. Linear and spot heat detectors can be mixed and matched on either detection circuit to match your appliance line.
